The Trip

(scroll down for more description)

Just after the election, we put our "Talk To Me" sign on our bikes and hit the road to see what the rest of the country had to say. We had heard enough people talk about the country - we wanted to listen to the country.

We took our sign anywhere we could: the Pentagon, maximum security prisons, the Navajo reservation, the Sears Tower, Old Faithful, veterans' reunions, Google's headquarters, the rodeo, a lingerie convention, political fundraisers, even a wedding or two. Most of all, we hung out where people hang out: diners, nursing homes, main streets, colleges, truck stops, churches, county fairs, concerts, Wal-Marts, bars, cafes, grocery stores, park benches, and anywhere else we could find. We heard an earful just about anywhere we went.

We started in New York, and headed south for the winter. After making it to the Gulf of Mexico, we started to head west through Texas, Arizona, and Las Vegas, before hitting the coast at LA. From there, we traveled north to Vancouver, BC, then back east all the way across the George Washington Bridge to NYC.

We're currently hibernating in New York City before we decide where to take our "talk to me" sign next. Any recommendations?
